Accounts Assistant Role
NC Associates are working exclusively with a long-established SME based in Chester City Centre to help recruit an Temporary Accounts Assistant for up to 3 months. As an Accounts Assistant you will be working closely with the Finance Manager, this is a broad transactional role that covers both Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger duties along with supporting with Month/Year End and VAT returns.
Accounts Assistant Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable:
- Reconcile items to be invoiced using our in-house system
- Produce customer Invoices on Xero
- Credit Control, chasing outstanding debt
- Reconcile subcontractor invoices with services rendered
- Bank reconciliations
Purchase Ledger:
- Ensuring all in-house purchases are approved in line with procedures
- Post invoices to Xero
- Statement Reconciliations
Supporting the Finance Manager with:
- Month End Preparation and reports
- VAT returns
- Year- end reporting
Accounts Assistant Experience Required
- Experience – 1-2 years min experience within an account’s role
- Ideally someone who can work on their own and as part of a team
- Great attention to detail and communication skills
- Team Player, confident and articulate
- Good knowledge of Excel, Sage or Xero
