FP&A Manager / CIMA ACCA Qualified / Financial Planning / Excellent Salary + Bonus / Flexible Working / Business Critical Role

Due to an internal promotion, I am working on a newly created vacancy. This position will be ideal for a CIMA/ ACCA qualified FP&A Accountant with the ability to offer commercial support to the businesses largest and most profitable division. My client is a large and dynamic, international business that requires the experience of somebody from a similar background to manage financial planning and variance analysis to drive forwards further business growth.

An excellent salary package is available in addition to an annual bonus of up to 10% of annual salary. Although not a fully remote position, my client is happy to offer flexibility surrounding home and office-based working.

Job Description:

  • To support the operational teams with planning and financial analysis, as well as driving productivity within the regions under this remit
  • Work with the Senior Director’s to develop annual targets
  • Own and create business productivity targets for each region and support local Operation Managers, Service Managers and Regional Support Teams in delivering them
  • Build accurate data and forecasting for job costs, providing accurate analysis to support
  • Develop, implement and continuously improve forecasting tools and processes – supporting better decision-making regarding job costing
  • Support the team to deliver annual financial targets
  • Establish processes to identify and avoid financial risk on all projects
  • Develop and maintain key financial metrics for each service area of the business
  • Develop, improve and maintain accounting processes at site level for each project
  • Manage and coordinate annual budgets process for each business region
  • Collate of monthly financial data for review
  • Consolidate planning forecasts for year 1, 3 and 5 to support the longer-term budget process
  • Ensure all external vendor costs per project are captured within the planning process

Requirements:

  • CIMA/ ACCA qualifications
  • Significant financial analysis experience
  • Similar FP&A experience within a larger international business
  • Exposure to project resource planning procedures
  • Commercially aware – exposure to and experience within the Construction/ Energy sectors is highly advantageous
  • Ability to manage budgets and account for variances
  • Strong negotiation and decision-making abilities
  • SAP experience is highly advantageous although not essential
  • Hands on mentality – this role will act as a Business Partner in addition to overseeing accounting for the division
  • Desire to be involved in all aspects of the process to drive the business forwards to meet annual and longer-term financial targets
  • Some travel to sites may be required occasionally
  • People management abilities
  • Ability to work closely with the operations team to manage and achieve desired financial results
  • Large projects management exposure
