Billings/ Credit Control/ Stand Alone Role/ Multi Site Business/ Excellent Benefits

I am currently working on an exciting opportunity for a candidate who has experience of Credit Control and Billings processes for a multi site business. This role will suit a proactive and motivated individual who has the ability to work independently whilst supporting and developing a small junior team. Previous experience within a stand alone credit and/or billings role is highly advantageous.

Job Description:

  • Running credit checks on all new and existing customers, reporting the results to senior management
  • Opening new customer accounts and managing any amendments to current customer details
  • Ensuring invoices and credit notes are raised in a timely manner for all business divisions
  • Posting all payments received to customer accounts
  • Chasing all overdue debt for all business divisions by email or telephone
  • Management of any associated queries
  • Providing an updated debtors position on a monthly basics to all departments
  • Attending monthly debtors review meetings with the Finance Director
  • Management of any bad debt escalations
  • Supporting with any litigation or legal proceedings
  • Continuous review of procedures and system processes
  • Preparation of month-end reconciliation for the Finance Manager, including bank reconciliations, accruals, and releasing income from the balance sheet to the profit & loss accounts
  • Overseeing two junior team members


  • Previous experience within a fast paced and high volume billings and credit control capacity
  • Excellent computerised systems and Excel skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to manage time and work flow effectively
  • Ability to motivate and develop two junior team members
  • Ability to multi task and work independently
  • Positive and proactive work ethic
  • AAT qualifications are advantageous although not essential
  • Experience of working within a multi site business is highly advantageous although not essential
