Credit Controller jobs

Credit professionals play a vital role in any business. They are responsible for managing the debts of a business and ensuring all debt is paid and collected in full.

 

As well as day to day management, a Credit Controller’s responsibilities can include reconciling complex accounts, building relationships with internal and external stakeholders, assisting the Credit Manager with forecasting, and contributing to month/year end processes.

Typical skills you will need in a Credit Control position:

  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Highly efficient and organised
  • Good numerical skills
  • Ability to work well and use good communication skills with a variety of stakeholders
  • Analytical skills
  • Ability to build a rapport
  • Good IT skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Cope well under pressure
  • Ability to negotiate
  • In terms of qualifications, relevant credit qualifications aren’t necessary in many roles but are advantageous. Good GCSE and A Levels may be required as minimum.
