Accountant Role Overview

An excellent opportunity for a motivated bookkeeper to support our client’s team, in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. As the Accountant, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day financial operations of various organisations.

Accountant Responsibilities:  

• Addressing client queries with HMRC
• Managing the preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns
• Compiling personal tax computations and returns
• Provision of bookkeeping and management accounting services
• Maintenance of up-to-date accounting records for clients
• Preparation of annual accounts and corporation tax returns

Accountant Experience Required  

• Previous experience in a similar accounting or finance role within practice.
• AAT qualification preferred, but not essential.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage or Xero.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling financial information.
