Accounts Receivable Role Overview

NC Associates are working on an exclusive basis with a long established and forward thinking service organisation in Leyland who are looking to recruit an Accounts Receivable Clerk to accurately process finance transactions relating to customers. This role will report into the Finance Manager and work within a team so you will get plenty of support whilst building on your existing experience. The business has grown considerably over the years and has built a fantastic reputation within the market place

Accounts Receivable Clerk Responsibilities to include:

  • Responsible for processing Chargeback defences & recording in our systems accordingly
  • Balance sheet reconciliations of card payments & refunds
  • Accountable for Monthly bank reconciliations to be completed within our SLA ready for approval by Commercial Finance
  • Posting of monies onto ledger allocating correctly against orders
  • Take responsibility for maintaining & exceeding targets assigned to you & as a team
  • Build strong relationships with internal colleagues to deliver excellence results and customer service
  • Complete internal training to improve knowledge of the systems & improve communication & customer service skills
  • Communicate well at all levels and show respect to customers and colleagues alike

Experience Required

  • Previous experience of working within a similar role within Accounts Receivable / Sales Ledger
  • Previous banking and reconciliation experience is desirable
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to change
  • Must be highly efficient and organised
  • Must have a can-do attitude
  • Proficient user of Excel 
  • Must be able to organise their own workload and prioritise effectively
  • Must have excellent communication skills and good telephone manner
