Credit Control Team Leader Role Overview

NC Associates are excited to be partnering with a leading and growing organisation in Wrexham to recruit an experienced Credit Control Team Leader. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and results-driven individual to join a dynamic finance team in a people-focused business offering great career development. Reporting to the Credit Manager, you will play a key role in managing the company’s Credit Control function and maintaining strong ledger’s.

Credit Control Team Leader Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire a team of credit controllers to hit targets, resolve issues, and work efficiently.
  • Oversee day-to-day credit control activities, keeping cash flowing and aged debt under control.
  • Be the go-to for escalated customer queries, payment disputes, and tricky accounts.
  • Track team performance, report to the Credit Control Manager, and suggest ways to work smarter, not harder.
  • Spot trends, flag risks, and implement improvements to processes and collections.
  • Collaborate with sales, finance, and customer service to keep clients happy while protecting company cash.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop your team so they grow as professionals and meet targets consistently.
  • Ensure all credit control work follows company policies and regulations.

What We’re Looking For:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a B2B Credit Control leadership role.
  • A motivated and target-driven approach to debt collection.
  • Confident written and verbal communication skills with the ability to maintain strong relationships.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to manage workload effectively.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience using finance systems.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to achieve individual and team targets.
