Credit Controller Role Overview

My industry leading client is recruiting for a Credit Controller to join their high performing team. You will be responsible for managing a high volume and value ledger of accounts to ensure prompt payments and minimising of overdue debt. This position will suit a proactive, motivated and target driven team player who has previous Credit Control experience gained in a client focussed organisation. Previous experience in a property sector Credit Control position is highly advantageous although not essential.

Credit Controller Responsibilities:

  • Proactively working to reduce the outstanding debtor’s balance.
  • Chasing outstanding payments via telephone and email.
  • Management of debtor queries, reaching a resolution to ensure prompt payment of outstanding balances.
  • Issuing invoices, Tax receipts, statements, and reminder letters as required.
  • Assisting with the reconciliation of problem or overdue accounts.
  • Management of internal queries, liaising with the wider finance team as required
  • Monitor and reporting on aged debtors’ reports. .
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

Credit Control Required Experience

  • Previous experience in a targeted B2B Credit Control position
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills with the ability to establish trust and credibility.
  • A motivated and self-starter mentality and approach to tasks and workflow.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently to achieve goals and targets.
  • Strong computerised system and Excel skills.  
  • Strong Analytical skills with the ability to support with reporting requirements.
  • Reconciliation abilities
  • Excellent query resolution skills with the ability to create solutions to problems.
  • A desire to develop within a Credit Control career path.
  • Credit Control experience gained within the property sector is highly advantageous, although not essential.
