Finance Manager Role Overview
NC Associates are looking to recruit a Finance Manager on behalf of our Knowsley based client, who are seeking a Finance Manager to join their small but busy finance team. As the Finance Manager you will be responsible for managing the financial records across the company.
Finance Manager Responsibilities:
- Monthly and Weekly Reporting to management
- Pay creditors on a timely basis ensuring cashflow of the business is managed on a daily basis.
- Work with the business to resolve credit control issues, to ensure that our debtor days are as low as possible, focussing on working capital.
- Supporting Directors with month end reporting.
- Prepare bank payment runs and reconciliations.
- Maintain ledgers in Sage for management and statutory accounting requirements.
- Complete monthly bank reconciliations on a timely basis ensuring all transactions are allocated and understood.
- Preparation of the VAT returns.
- Chasing debtors and ensuring balances are collected on a timely basis or appropriately escalated.
- Keeping Sage up to date.
Finance Manager Experience Required:
- At least 3 years’ experience in similar role
- Familiarity with accounting software like Sage 50 accounts
- AAT or equivalent qualification
- Good level of IT skills. Proven experience of Excel spreadsheets
- Strong data entry skills
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent time management
