Legal Cashier / Agile Working (3 Days in The Office) Excellent Benefits Package/ Excellent Pension Contribution/ Private Health Care/ 26 Days Holiday + BHs

I am looking for an experienced Senior legal cashier to join my Manchester based client – An extremely well established and reputable Legal Firm. This role will suit a candidate who has had exposure to the full end to end cashiering process and is looking to grow their experience within a forward thinking and continually growing organisation.

Legal sector experience is a requirement. This role will initially be a senior position with the view to growing and developing a team in the foreseeable future.

Job Description:

  • Issuing cheques
  • Processing and posting daily banking
  • Posting incoming TT payments
  • Processing debit and credit card payments
  • Referencing, checking and filing deposit account statements
  • Supporting the billings and purchase ledger team as required
  • Processing client to office transfers
  • Completing ‘write offs’ as required
  • General transaction processing
  • Deposit transfers
  • Processing manual bills
  • Monitoring daily bank balances
  • Supporting commercial functions within the business
  • Creating and delivering reporting as required
  • Supporting and developing more junior cashiers with processing and training as required
  • Management of escalated queries and processes

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Legal Cashier is essential
  • Full understanding and experience of the end-to-end cashiering function
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a friendly and close-knit team
  • Positive and friendly personality
  • Professional approach to all tasks
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Client focussed approach  
  • Strong Excel and computerised system skills
  • Understanding of legal sector accounts processes
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work accurately to tight time frames
  • Strong numerical ability and understanding
  • Ability to motivate and develop others
