Legal Cashier Role
NC Associates is proud to be partnering with a well-regarded law firm to find their next Legal Cashier — someone who thrives on accuracy, loves keeping things compliant, and wants to be a key part of a tight-knit team.
Legal Cashier Responsibilities:
- Managing all financial transactions in line with the Solicitors Accounts Rules
- Carrying out reconciliations, client ledger postings, and TT/BACS payments
- Processing bills, credit notes, expenses, and petty cash
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Producing accurate month-end reports and keeping the finance admin ticking over
- Using Leap for case management and Xero for business transactions
- Solving routine queries and keeping things moving smoothly
Legal Cashier Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Legal Cashier or in a similar finance-related role
- A solid understanding of accounting principles and credit control
- High accuracy levels and eagle-eyed attention to detail
- Confidence working under pressure in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills to liaise across the practice
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams)
- Professional integrity and discretion when handling confidential information
