NC Associates are working in partnership with a well-established Insurance Broker based in Cholmondeley to recruit an Account Handler. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and customer-focused insurance professional to join a growing team, providing exceptional client service while supporting Account Executives with the day-to-day management of commercial insurance policies.
The successful candidate will become a key point of contact for clients, handling policy renewals, quotations, and administrative support while ensuring all work is completed accurately and in line with FCA regulations.
Account Handler Responsibilities
- Acting as the first point of contact for incoming client enquiries via telephone and email
- Providing professional support and guidance on a range of insurance-related queries
- Preparing quotations, renewals, and policy documentation using the Acturis system
- Managing policy renewals from initial contact through to completion
- Updating and maintaining client records, tasks, and documentation within Acturis
- Gathering relevant client information to ensure policies provide appropriate levels of cover
- Processing policy amendments, renewals, and associated documentation accurately
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with FCA regulations and internal compliance procedures
- Delivering exceptional customer service while building long-term client relationships
- Providing administrative support to Account Executives and the wider broking team
- Maintaining accurate records of all client correspondence, documentation, and telephone conversations
- Supporting the wider team with general office and administration duties when required
Account Handler Experience Required
To be successful in your application, you should have the following experience:
Essential:
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work within a regulated environment
- Confident using Microsoft Office packages
Desirable:
- Previous experience using Acturis
- Knowledge of commercial insurance products
- Understanding of FCA compliance requirements
- Experience supporting Account Executives or Insurance Brokers
