Management Accountant Overview

NC Associates are working with a well-established business in Bromborough who are looking to recruit a Management Accountant.

This is a broad and varied role covering full month-end responsibilities, reporting, budgeting and forecasting, alongside business partnering with operational teams.

It’s a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands-on in management accounts while also getting involved in the wider business rather than just sitting in month-end reporting cycles.

Management Accountant Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly management accounts including P&L and balance sheet
• Production of variance analysis with commentary and insight
• Completion of balance sheet reconciliations and key control accounts
• Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
• Cash flow reporting and analysis
• Supporting year-end audit process and liaising with auditors
• Business partnering with operational teams to support decision making
• Supporting process improvements and system efficiencies
• Ad hoc reporting and analysis as required

Management Accountant Experience

• Part qualified (ACCA / CIMA) or qualified by experience
• Previous experience in a management accounting role
• Strong understanding of month-end processes and reporting cycles
• Confident with Excel and financial systems
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work with non-finance stakeholders
• Proactive, organised, and comfortable working to deadlines
• Hands-on approach with a willingness to get stuck in
